Nowadays, every-time I turn on the news, I get this queasy feeling. It’s a daily, non-stop barrage of bad news. Back in the days, I could process these news items and not let them impact me on a personal level. But, it seems as if a) I’ve either lost or I am continually losing that ability. or b) There is an increasing amount of chaos in the world.
Since, I don’t really fancy queasiness. Hence, I have decided to avoid watching news.
I miss the good old days when it was almost comfortable to watch the news. From the comfortable voices of Christian Amampour and Bernard Shaw. To the predictability of watching Larry King. Meaning it was going to happen each night, no matter what happens. You could set your clock to that show.
Now it’s just bad news and queasiness galore.
